So, yeah, we’re going to get several new electric vehicles in the upcoming few years starting with GMC’s all-new Hummer EV truck, which is being dubbed as the world’s first supertruck. Yes, you heard that right, “Supertruck.” Now, with such a name, there has to be a catch. The catch is that the new Hummer EV will tout 1,000 horsepower and an astonishing 11,500 lb-ft of torque!!! That will enable the “supertruck” to hit 60 mph in about 3 seconds.
I already know what you’re thinking – General Motors is poised to take on Tesla and they will start with knocking on the flat metal doors of the Tesla Cybertruck first with the new 2021 Hummer EV.
The new Hummer EV will be revealed in its full electrified glory this Fall and then start production in Fall of 2021. Hopefully by then, we can put the current pandemic behind us just as you will put many vehicles in the rearview mirror of the new GMC Hummer EV “supertruck.”
